The staff were LOVELY, the beds were comfy. We were upgraded to suite on check in. Public parking nearby was provided.
The room was pleasant and clean and perfect Internet. Close to the Bridgewater Hall, central location
10 min walk to dean's gate and close to the city center. Good internet, clean room. Value for price
We loved fine location and people. Price of the breakfast is gbp 7.95 per person per day. The beds are absolutely great, we slept well. We recommend & would stay here again.
A right place for exploring Manchester.
Within walking distance of Buffet City, where you can have lunch. We enjoyed hotel's breakfast and location.
The staff were very helpfull and pleasent, the food was good and the room was excellent.
Conveniance near everything.
Some of the reception staff not friendly i would think they are in the wrong job.
Location is ideal for culture, shopping and transportation. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Good-value-for-money hotel.
The location was excellent, everything pretty much walking distance.
The bed was too hard, on one occassion our shower flooded, one of the reception staff was very abrupt, and we felt we were being watched like hawks when we had our 'All you can eat buffet breakfast' (had better and cheaper food at the weatherspoons).
I have previously stayed in the Ibis Hotel before and really enjoyed it there. That is why I have returned and recommended to many friends. I really like the design of the hotel, as it has a very friendly atmosphere. It looks pleasant and makes you feel cared for at all times. I also like the staff. The staff on check-In, named Richard was very friendly and was very nice to us. Lovely place. Lovely location. Definitely staying again. X
I found one member of staff very polite helpful and friendly. the reception/bar area was very attractive and clean. the room was fairly basic but nice and clean.
I was dissapointed to find that although I selected breakfast when booking online it hadnt infact registered and the staff would not honour the discounted rate, I therefore had to pay an additional £7.50. I think in this day and age a hotel should have more channel options to watch and shouldnt charge £9.99 to watch films especially for those of us staying only one night, this is a bit expensive for watching one film. The TV jumped quite a lot throughout my £9.99 film!
The hotel is extremely well located, within easy walking distance of Piccadilly Rail Station, shopping areas and Metro lines. I found the staff to be very efficient, friendly and helpful. My room was in good condition and very clean. I asked for a room off the street, and so had a noise-free slumber!
I loved the location of this hotel, the Chorlton Street coach station was closeby, the family from Malta I met up with were staying at the Britannia Hotel 5 mins up the road, and the shops were close by too. My nephew had a graduation ceremony at Manchester University on Fri 22 July, - so that was within easy reach too. The single beds were a bit low and hard, but the linen was clean and the bathroom was a surprise, the shower was fine and the bath gel smelled nice, but we could have done with another dispenser on the sink. But all in all - the bathroom design was a surprise, but maybe had we been infirm - it would have been a bit awkward to go up the step to it - it felt like going inside a cabin!!!! (Are they all like that???) Again, the cleanliness and the amounts of towels was just right.
We have no complaints, except maybe we could have done with some net curtains to the window, we had to keep rolling the blinds to spare us blushes, and we were always overlooked by Chinese opposite (Room 131) at one time they had binoculars and were looking straight at us and also taking photos!!!!! This was Fri morning 22 July, they made no attempt to hide what they were doing (Buffet City) so if there was anything I disliked was the lack of net curtains. We had to keep switching on light to get dressed.
Ibis has kept it's place very clean and modern in decor compared to other budget hotels nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants and shopping areas.
I wish they have basic amenities (like small travelling size shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste) for sale at the reception even though they do not provide them to save cost.
